The problem of acid reflux is called gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in medical parlance. The problem of acid reflux is being seen more among people of every group. Research has shown that high intake of fiber helps protect against acid reflux, especially in fruits and vegetables. Including foods in the diet to control acid reflux and reduce its symptoms will prove useful.
Vegetable- Vegetable-rich diet is appropriate for the control of acid reflux as vegetables are naturally low in fat and sugar and help prevent stomach acid. Vegetables such as green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, leafy vegetables, potatoes and cucumber are excellent for acid reflux management. The main thing is that all the vegetables should be cooked in minimum amount of oil.
Ginger- The natural treasure of anti-inflammatory properties, ginger is a natural cure for stomach irritation and stomach problems. For the relief of symptoms of severe acid reflux, use grated or chopped ginger in the recipe or drink ginger tea at least once a day. Remember it is also very harmful.
Fruit- All fresh fruits will definitely create relief in relieving symptoms. But prohibit citrus fruits if you are struggling with the symptoms of acid reflux.
Egg white This is a great option for acid reflux control. However, it would be prudent to avoid egg yolk because it contains high amounts of fat and can result in acid reflux symptoms.
